The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has officially announced that Wednesday, January 1, 2025, will be a public holiday for the private sector in observance of New Year’s Day.
Similarly, the Sharjah Department of Human Resources has confirmed the same date as a holiday for government employees within the emirate. Regular work schedules will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025, except for employees working on shift rotations.
This announcement aligns with the UAE government’s decision to grant a New Year holiday for public sector employees, reflecting the nation’s commitment to fostering work-life balance and celebrating significant occasions.
