Dubai, 26th September 2024 (WAM) — Digital Dubai, the government body responsible for digital transformation in Dubai, has announced the development of the Dubai Data and Artificial Intelligence Platform, adhering to the highest international standards.
Today, Digital Dubai awarded a contract to Moro Hub – Data Hub for Integrated Solutions, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, to initiate the project by the end of September 2024.
This unified platform will act as a gateway for official data and statistics related to Dubai, allowing both government and private entities to host and share data efficiently while ensuring top-tier accessibility and security. It will also incorporate innovative AI-driven approaches for data display and analysis, supporting the government in making informed decisions based on advanced data insights. This initiative aims to enhance digital maturity, aligning with Digital Dubai’s goals and improving the data maturity index through better data quality, usability, and governance.
The contract signing took place at Digital Dubai’s headquarters, with key figures including Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA; Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General of Digital Dubai; and other notable executives present.
The Dubai Data and AI Platform will allow government entities to utilize synthetic data, a concept promoted by Digital Dubai. Its scalable infrastructure will be adaptable to future needs, enhancing government operations and providing accurate metrics across various sectors.
Additionally, the platform will provide access to a range of AI-supported technologies, optimizing resource usage and supporting data-driven decisions, thus establishing a reliable digital hub for government data.

He highlighted that this collaboration with Digital Dubai is a significant step in enhancing Dubai’s digital infrastructure and contributing to the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which aims to double the emirate’s economy over the next decade.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori underscored the importance of this platform in Dubai’s digital transformation journey, noting that leveraging AI will enhance the economic value of digital data. He expressed confidence that the data available today represents a strategic national asset for shaping Dubai’s future as a global digital hub.
Younus Al Nasser remarked that this platform builds upon the earlier ‘Dubai Pulse’ data initiative launched in 2017, utilizing AI to improve data exchange and integration for better decision-making and personalized digital experiences.
Marwan bin Haidar, Vice Chairman and Group CEO of Digital DEWA, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, which aims to leverage digital data and AI for sustainable development and innovation in Dubai.
The platform will serve all institutions under Digital Dubai, as well as various government entities, and will facilitate decentralized data exchange. It is a next-generation iteration of the Dubai Pulse platform, utilizing an integrated data fabric supported by advanced technologies in data management and analytics.
The agreement includes the unification of existing platforms and portals, streamlining processes for efficiency. The platform will be hosted on the Moro Cloud, managed by Moro Hub, with cybersecurity measures aligned with the Digital Dubai Clouds Agreement.
In essence, the platform embodies the requirements of the Data Law and reflects the government’s commitment to digital transformation, harnessing AI’s potential for sustainability and economic vitality. It will serve as a comprehensive framework for all data and statistical systems in Dubai, promoting integration among government and private entities and advancing smart city initiatives through proactive approaches and real-time analytics.
